Keep the truth within you, this is the last hour
1 John 2:18-19 Children, this is the last hour! You have been told that an anti Christ will come. Well, many anti Christ’s have already appeared, proof that this indeed is the last hour. Those ungodly people who do not belong with us, if they did, they would have joined us. They make it clear that they follow different gods. Luke 21:8
1 John 2:20-25 But, you who have been anointed by the Holy One are not ignorant of the truth and because of the knowledge of what I have written to you, you know that lies never come from the truth. Anyone who denies that Jesus is the Christ is a liar. They are anti Christ’s, for by doing so, they deny both the Son and the Father. Therefore, you must keep hold of what you have been taught, keep the truth within you and you will dwell both in the Son and the Father. This is the promise that He gave us, the promise of eternal life. Titus 1:2
Jude 1:4-5 Some people have wormed their way into the fellowship, they are enemies of the true faith, they disown Jesus Christ, our Lord. They are marked for the sentence they will receive. I remind you that the Lord delivered His people out of their bondage in Egypt, then destroyed the unbelievers. Ezekiel 20:38, Rom. 1:24
Jude 1:7-10 In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah gave themselves up to un-natural lusts and by fire they paid the penalty. They serve as an example and a warning to all. Now, these deluded dreamers continue to defile their own bodies, to reject authority and to insult the celestial beings. These people pour abuse on what they do not understand and what they do believe will prove to be their undoing.
Jude 1:11-13 Alas for them, they have followed the ways of Cain, for profit, they have made Balaam’s error, they have rebelled like Korah and they will share the fate of them. This type of person is a danger to your fellowship and as shepherds, they take care only of themselves. They are like clouds without rain, trees without fruit, like wild sea waves foaming with disgraceful deeds and the place reserved for them is the blackest darkness forever.
Jude 1:14-16 It was against these godless people that Enoch prophesied: I saw the Lord coming with His angels, to bring all mankind to judgement and to convict the godless of every word and deed against Him, sinners that they are.
Jude 1:17-23 But you, my friends, remember that the Apostles said: In the final age there will be those who mock at religion and follow their own ungodly lusts. So you must build yourselves up in faith and pray in the power of the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in the love of God and look forward to the Day when the Lord Jesus brings you into eternal life. Be merciful and help those who doubt and save those who you can from the fiery judgement. But keep your distance from those who will not change their ways. 2 Peter 3:3-7
Hebrews 10:24-27 Let us try to help each other toward love and good deeds. We should keep up contact and dialogue to encourage one another, especially as we now see the Day of the Lord getting close. For if we deliberately persist in sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there can be no further atonement, but only a terrifying expectation of a raging fire that will consume God’s enemies.
