Then Isaiah 29:5-8 goes on to say how the Lord will also destroy the enemies with a sudden punishment of thunder, earthquakes and flames of devouring fire. Joel 1:15 This all relates to the Sixth Seal forthcoming Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath against the nations.
We know that the Lord will take this action on an Appointed Day, Hab. 2:3 and the Day of Trumpets, seems a likely candidate. But there are some things that must happen before the Day of wrath:
1/ Where is Elijah? Malachi 4:5.
2/ Judah still has its leaders. Isaiah 3:1-7 and Micah 5:1
3/ Is Iran and her allies ready to attack yet? Psalm 83, Micah 4:11-12
That is prophesied in Isaiah 29, seems to be saying that only after the seven Mo’ed’s of the year have passed, will the Lord take action. The modern Jewish calendar has 1 Tishri as new years day, but the original new year was 1 Nisan.
I do not see Tabernacles as being the Day of wrath, as that Day means ‘God dwells with us’ and will be the Day of Jesus’ Return. The final Day of Trumpets may be the commencement of the Great Tribulation, Revelation 8:6 and Atonement after the Seventh Trumpet. Revelation 11:15-19
So when is the Day of Wrath? The prophet Haggai tells us, three times! On the 24th day of Kislev, which falls in late November or early December.
