2 Maccabees 2:4-12 It is recorded that in obedience to a Divine command, the prophet Jeremiah gave orders for the Tent of Meeting, the Altar of Incense and the Ark of the Covenant to be brought to the mountain from which Moses had seen the Promised Land. At Mt Nebo, Jeremiah found a cave and into it he placed the Tent, the Altar and the Ark, then he blocked up the entrance. Some of his companions tried to mark the place, but Jeremiah stopped them, saying: This place must remain unknown until God finally gathers His people and shows them His favour. The Lord will then bring these things to light once more and His glory will appear in the cloud as it was revealed in the time of Moses. Furthermore it is told to us that Solomon, who had the gift of wisdom, offered a dedication sacrifice at the completion of the first Temple. Fire came down from heaven and consumed the whole offerings, just as Moses had prophesied.
2 Maccabees 2:16-18 Solomon’s prayer: As we celebrate the purification of the Temple, I wish to impress upon you the duty of holding this festival. God has rescued His whole people and granted to all of us the holy Land, the rulership, the priesthood and the consecration, as He promised by the Law. We can have confidence that God will soon show us compassion and gather us from everywhere under heaven to this holy place, for He will deliver us from great troubles and purify His holy place.

‘The Tent, the Altar and the Ark’, – are still hidden somewhere near Mt Nebo, currently Jordanian territory, but soon to become once again part of Greater Israel, the new country of Beulah.
The last sentence of Solomon’s prayer is obviously a prophecy, as in his time the Lord’s whole people, all the twelve tribes were undivided and all present in the holy Land.
‘We can be confident that God will soon show us His compassion’, – Israel’s punishment by exile is nearly over.
‘and deliver us from great troubles’. – His protection from the soon to happen Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath. This may apply to only the few righteous Messianic Jews saved in Jerusalem. Isaiah 31:5
‘purify His holy place’. – The dramatic clearance and cleansing of all the holy Land, by the means of a coronal mass ejection, the terrible fire judgement, so extensivly prophesied.
‘God’s final gathering of His people, from everywhere on earth, back into their heritage’.
– The great Second Exodus of all the Lord’s faithful people, now Christians from every race, nation and language, as described to us in Ezekiel 34:11-16, Isaiah 35:1-10 and many other prophecies. ‘The Lord’s glory will appear in the cloud, as in the time of Moses’. – The Shekinah glory will once again come into the Temple. Ezekiel 43:4 Before the visible Return of Jesus.
